Maya Green

Maya Green

Maya Green was born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and was an ROTC scholarship recipient and graduate from Howard University.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Human Relations from University of Oklahoma.

Ms. Green was commissioned in the US Air Force in 1998.  During her 20+ years of service she has served as a Recruiter, Education/Training Officer, Installation Executive Officer, Military Personnel Flight Commander, Manpower Analyst and Branch Chief.  She served in various HR capacities throughout the world.  Most notably, she was an Advisor to the Chief, Human Resources, Iraqi Ministry of Defense.  She also served in joint capacity with the US Army in Sarajevo, Bosnia as an Adjutant, managing personnel programs for 7 different nations.  In addition, she was responsible for accomplishing detainee reports for the administrative review boards for enemy combatants held at Guantanamo Bay detention camps in Cuba.

Ms. Green is currently serving as the Individual Mobilization Assistant to the Chief, Force Development, AF Reserve at the Pentagon.  She is responsible for formulating policies, plans, requirements and guidance for all Air Force Reserve development issues. 

In preparation for retirement, she is working on her Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional certificate and plans to continue offering services to non-profit organizations in the future.
